25. 13 Assassins (2010)
Impressive looking action drama from mentalist director Takashi Miike. This time,he’s actually very restrained in terms of the OTT scenes we usually see in his films. Saying that,there is a HUGE samurai battle that takes up the last 45 minutes of this film and it’s impressive as hell!
The first half of the film takes its time gathering the thirteen assassins of the title together,as they team up to kill the VERY evil Lord Naritsugu who is a right bastard!
A lot of people really got excited by this film,but it was just…good. Yeah,the 45 minute battle is great,but overall…it’s just…good. Ha!
